Weekend Shopper Monster!!! Anna Sui Edition
I was applying my long lived and long loved Anna Sui Dolly Girl lipstick from years and years ago and I wished that I could have more of it. I use my loved makeup so sparingly that occasionally it goes bad. Sad. Anyway I was looking on ebay when...behold!!! It is the Summer 2011 Anna Sui Dolly Girl collection - lipstick and mascara. I got all excited about it and it can be purchased on the urban outfitters website (which sort of ruins it for me but anyway). I love the Russian doll packaging, but my dolly girl lipstick looks like a flapper and I kind of prefer that.
While I ponder the intricacies of my feelings for the new design for dolly girl, I might probably definitely (maybe?) buy some of this kooky Paul and Joe lipstick....luckily the packaging is cool, so that there is something to look at when the sculpted cat is gone!

Pretty Rachel Roy Rings For Summer
This Stingray ring by Rachel Roy is my favorite of this season's RR rings, although they are all adorable and....cheap! I just purchased this ring for about 40 bucks, if you hurry there is an additional 30% sale going on right now. I didn't even know that Rachel Roy had jewelry until I saw it on The City (a surprisingly good show - don't make fun!). Anyway, I highly recommend checking on RR's website, everything if fun, elegant and affordable.

Alexander McQueen Wing Shoes Fall 2010
I've been fantasizing about these shoes ever since seeing the Alexander McQueen Met show Savage Beauty catalog (actually since Fall of last year when I saw them in Vogue). If you can get the catalog, get it, it is amazing. If you can go see the show at the Met, go! I want to go so badly! I also want want want these shoes!

Eva Green in Cracks
Met Costume Gala
I just finally got to look at pictures from the Met Costume Gala, and most of the dresses were pretty meh. Even my favorite Leighton Meester disappointed me. Anyway I think Amy Poehler looked really good, I love her show Parks and Recreation too, this season is super good! I'm happy to see AP here fancy and not in her usual frumpy costumes.

My New Favorite Desired Accessory
The shiny gold-tone butterfly skull cocktail ring from Alexander McQueen. Did you know they sell McQueen on Zappos.com? I didn't, but they have this on Zappos for the same price as at the store, however, Zappos has sales....good sales....there are some cool McQueen rings for sale there now, check it out!
My New Favorite Accessory
I just got these glasses (mine are more blueish) at LA Eyeworks, the frame style is Echo Park and they are the style of frames Britney Spears wore in the Womanizer video...I'm in "good" company. The glasses are hand made and are totally gorgeous. For more info check out the website

Holy Crap
I didn't know about these Alexander McQueen clutches....me want. Also this reminds me of McQueen related images that I have not scanned to put on the blog because I've been too busy. Blargh, anyhow, I hate clutches, but these make me want to cry. I think rings are available with these skulls as well. If you are wondering what I am so busy with...I'm having a Black Swan-like obsession with finding an authentic used in good condition Marni balloon bag from Fall 2010. Yeah....yeah...

Astarte
Astarte (other than being a Goddess of fertility, sexuality and war) was a psychedelic ballet that the Joffrey Ballet company put on in 1968. The production unfortunately was marred by jealousy, adultery, obsession, and eventually (if I remember correctly) murder. It was a case of reality imitating mythology in this case. Anyhow the whole thing was a disaster and had to be shut down. The unique aspect of the ballet was that the dancers wore white (or nothing at all) and had psychedelic images projected onto their moving bodies.
