Barbara Bain as Cinnamon Carter

Cinnamon Carter was a model/spy on the original Mission: Impossible (this episode is "The Diamond"). Because of her modeling, she is always very well dressed. This is my favorite outfit of hers, although there are many amazing ensembles. I always thought that M:I would be boring, but it isn't, I can't recommend it enough. Cinnamon's costumes alone are more than enough to make this entertaining if spies aren't your thing!

Blair's Hair: Part III

What can I say, Blair's hair is an inspiration. I know that stylists work on her hair and everything, but still, the ideas are simple and attainable. Serena's hair (Blake Lively) in GG is super boring though.

Empire Waist Belts

I was just driving around and saw someone with a belt around their ribcage, just under the bust. I just looked for an example online, but all of the pics I found actually looked good. I just want to say that this is an advanced move, and we should be careful. I think I've been guilty of belt too high up myself, seeing it done wrong was a real eye opener! Damn...BE...CAREFUL!

Blair's Hair: Part Pearl

I don't know what is happening here, but I like it. There's like a swish around the pearl band, or maybe the band is going through the twist? It looks classy yet carefree, so therefore this is more complicated than it looks.

Blair's Hair: Part Deux

More hot scarf action. I cannot get my hair to cooperate with a scarf...yet....I believe that I need second day hair (maybe even THIRD) to make my dreams a reality.

Hippie de Luxe du Jour: The Caftan on Jessica Simpson

I found this image on GoFugYourself, I see nothing wrong with this other than the fact that it is on Jessica Simpson. I think it is really beautiful, maybe more for the beach, or poolside? Although who is to say that she isn't returning from the beach. I don't know why, but I always pull for JS, especially when it come to body issues. I think she is really pretty and I feel bad that people focus so much on her body.

In fact, here is her cover from the June 2009 Vanity Fair. I think people would like her more if she was always styled like Marilyn Monroe!

Blair's Hair: Part 1

I'm really behind on Gossip Girl, like 2 seasons behind. I guess one could say that I actually do not follow GG. However, I really like it, but the storylines stress me out. I get too easily involved in teen dramas for some reason. Anyway, the part that I forgot about is the awesome fashion in the show. I'm beginning season 2 now, and GG is in the Hamptons. Great summer inspiration for clothes and hair. There is some great men's fashion in these episodes but I'm pretty much just focused on Blair, and more specifically Blair's hair. I've been wanting to wear scarves (and do wear a scarf instead of a hat to the beach) but I just don't know how. So here is one Blair scarf look that I am going to study, and practice. More Blair's hair to come....

Hippie de Luxe du Jour: Oja Kodar

Scenes of Oja Kodar in the Orson Welles film F as in Fake (1973). In this scene, Oja is supposedly being watched by Pablo Picasso from his window. The film deals with aspects of authenticity and forgery in the art world and is a pretty amazing piece of art itself.

Hippie de Luxe du Jour: Diana Rigg

Diana Rigg is definitely the luxer side of hippie, but here are some great luxe images on the side of hippie. Did that make sense? The above image is from the 1979 mini-series version of Oresteia with Rigg as Clytemnestra. It is kind of reminiscent of La Casati therefore I like it.
