Anna Karina - Danish actress of the French New Wave. Arguably (by me) the Zooey Deschanel of her day - indie, spacey, cute and non-committal free spirit. If you've never seen a Karina film I'd suggest Une Femme est Une Femme (A Woman is a Woman) from 1961. Fun film, great clothes and written and directed by Karina's then husband Jean-Luc Godard.
